During the board meeting on August 11, 2021, one of the topics was the initial planning for the GREENPRO Christmas Party, led by Fellowship Committee Chair Billy Dominguez. While discussing party plans, the Board also entertained the idea of creating a GREENPRO Glee Club, with a potential debut performance at the party. They further explored the possibility of launching a GREENPRO hymn during the Glee Club’s maiden performance — an ambitious idea, especially since no hymn had been composed yet.

At this point, Vice President Chito Zaldarriaga mentioned that Trustee Raoul Creencia had previously composed the jubilee song for San Beda College of Law’s Alumni Homecoming and the hymn for the Office of the Government Corporate Counsel (OGCC), which he once led. Encouraged by the Board, Trustee Raoul agreed to compose the GREENPRO hymn.

Just a couple of days later, Trustee Raoul spent a night drafting the lyrics and composing music that he believed would capture the essence of GREENPRO as a unique association. The next morning, he shared the first draft with the Board for feedback. President Kat Yatco suggested highlighting GREENPRO’s diversity and its emphasis on friendship and fellowship. After incorporating these suggestions, the final version was completed by 1:15 AM on August 18, 2021. Trustee Creencia presented the hymn acapella during the September 2021 Board Meeting.
Due to the challenges posed by the ongoing pandemic, the formation of the Glee Club was postponed. Instead, Trustee Raoul had another group record the song. In November 2021, the Board heard the recorded version, which was accompanied by a visual presentation. The GREENPRO Hymn was officially launched during the Christmas Party on December 4, 2021, and has since become a key feature at General Membership Meetings, embodying the association’s identity and the members’ collective pride.
